In addition to producing thousands of high quality audio ads in the 11+ years he’s been at Pandora/SiriusXM, Steve Pogatch has been the go-to guy for all things VO Casting, VO Direction and VO Quality for Studio Resonate at Pandora/SiriusXM Media. He’s been responsible for recruiting, auditioning and curating new talent for the Pandora VO Roster as well as managing the Pandora VoiceOver Roster.

General Note For Everyone:
Great job all!! Thanks for your participation! Some of these were really hard scripts, especially the one that was chosen most, RX Bar, I purposely didn’t give direction on these because I wanted to see who was able to do the correct script analysis and who is great at self directing. But I commend anyone who even attempted that script, it’s brutal, but looks so innocent at its surface. I’d say Dominos may have been the second most difficult. You are welcome to listen to your own recording as well as everyone else’s recordings. They are all available to download to members of the VOWW. Hearing your peers do what THEY do is always a great opportunity to learn.
A piece of copy in any genre can be read 1,000’s of ways. In the real world you are auditioning against 100’s of other actors never knowing really what you are up against. The VOWW is an incredible behind the scenes look into what other actors are doing with the same piece of copy. How other home studio’s sound compared to yours. What feedback would look like depending on how any performance is delivered. It can be eye opening, well EAR opening in many ways for the participants who take the time to delve into all the reads and feedback and not just their own.
